Established in November 1998, Richard’s Quality Auto Repair opened with the intent to provide quality service and honest repairs to customers at a reasonable rate.
As a trusted member of the Gibbons community, we believe in providing our customers with a shop that they can rely on to provide accurate diagnostic and repair services that will keep them safe and moving on the road.

Dan Remier
Owner/Administrator
A well-known businessman in the Sturgeon area, Dan founded the shop with Richard in November 1998.
Richard Skawronik
Owner/ Operator
A Red Seal Automotive Service Technician since June 1986, Richard is a local East Sturgeon legend who could and would repair anything. Richard also coached his first apprentice to a Skills Canada Gold Medal, and a 26th place finish internationally.
Wendy Green
Customer Service/Reception
Wendy joined the team in the fall of 2004, and has a passion for providing our customers with a level of service that keeps them wanting to come back.
Karl Ruptash
A Red Seal Automotive Service Technician since January 2017, Karl is a well rounded technician and legend in the making who has a passion for diagnostics and problem solving. Karl has a love of tools and anything racing, even competing provincially in RC events.
Ian MacDonald
Ian is a 2nd Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice, registered in April 2023. After 20 years in sales and customer service, Ian decided to join our team and start his automotive career. He has a passion for Halloween and supporting the local Food Bank.
Reg Masse
Reg is a 1st Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice, registered in March 2024. Having made a decision to leave the Fire & Security industry after 15 years, Reg joined our team to start his journey in becoming an Automotive Service Technician. He’s also a hobby fabricator and outdoorsman.
